Finally, an update!
0Well, sorta.
I added all my available VG Remixes to the music page as downloadable links, and added that fancy new music player on the right over there.
I do plan to do more updates though, hopefully more often than every 6 months!
There’s a few new songs up, so be sure to check them out!
Atonement
0Game: Chrono Trigger

This nearly won a Dwelling of Duels competition.
It’s pretty much a straight-forward rock cover of Magus’ theme. He was, and still is my favorite RPG character. He had a inner darkness and a cynical wit that I just felt drawn to. There is a hint of Frog’s theme near the end as well, but most people don’t hear or recognize it, for whatever reason.
I do plan on redoing this, with my new baritone guitar.
Enjoy!
Deadly Promises
0Game: Final Fantasy 6
Source: Terra’s Theme
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Oh no, it’s Terra!
This is one of the more popular themes that are remixed in the community. Some people complain every time they see a new remix with it pop up, but it’s popular for a reason – it’s gold.
This remix actually started out as an original years before it became a remix. I was playing around with some ideas and it jumped out at me that Terra’s theme would fit nicely over it. This remix was also part of the Dwelling of Duels competition, where it took 2nd place.. or was it 3rd.. I don’t remember actually, it was years ago.
Enjoy!
Oracle of Sorrow
0Game: Lufia 2 – Rise of the Sinistrals
Source: Prophet (Iris’ Theme)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Yup, Lufia again! This time from the second installment of the game (which technically takes place before the first installment).
I downloaded a cheesy Ovation guitar soundfont (for those who may actually remember those) and was playing around with it for a while. I decided, for whatever reason, that I wanted to put the instrument in a remix instead of actually recording guitar, just to see how it would work out. I didn’t work out really well, it wasn’t a well-made soundfont to begin with and it was impossible to humanize, but I kept it in there since my acoustic guitar was still being repaired.
This is actually one of my favorite remixes I’ve done, and I’ll most definitely be revisiting the source again.
Enjoy!
